    Homeschool Growth (2020–2023)

Homeschooling is no longer a fringe decision — it's a mainstream alternative chosen by millions of families across demographics. Dissatisfaction with traditional schooling is at historic highs, and the families most underserved by existing options are the ones we're built for.

    The Problem

Millions of Families. Almost No Real Tools.

Parents are piecing together free worksheets, YouTube videos, and expensive boxed curricula that still look like traditional school. The result: overwhelm for parents and disengagement for students.

Teens are especially underserved. Most curriculum options treat them like younger students with harder worksheets. There's almost nothing that builds critical thinking, independent inquiry, or real-world skills.

Black and Brown families face an additional gap. Mainstream homeschool resources rarely reflect their culture, context, or community values. They're forced to choose between cultural relevance and academic rigor. That's a false choice we refuse to accept.

    Our Solution

    The Mixtape360 System

Our flagship product is Mixtape360: a complete learning operating system for family-centered home education. Instead of passive worksheets, students move through structured, gamified missions that blend research, critical thinking, and creative output.

Parents play an active role, setting goals with their child and tracking growth through an intelligent dashboard that turns everyday learning into real, readable data. Progress isn't just monitored… it's measured, visualized, and used to drive smarter decisions at home.

And unlike most edtech tools retrofitting AI after the fact, Mixtape360 is architected from the ground up to grow with it.

    Independent Thinking

Missions develop analytical and creative reasoning, not rote recall.

    Sustained Engagement

Multi-step challenges keep teens focused longer than worksheets or video lessons.

    Parent Visibility

A clear dashboard shows progress, engagement, and where a student may need support.

    Cross-Subject Flexibility

Missions span ELA, social studies, science, and more. Families use them however they learn.

    Culturally Grounded

Content reflects the experiences, histories, and aspirations of diverse families.

    Community

    The SEAT Squad

SEAT Squad is our community of families and educators who use and help shape Mixtape360. Part support network, part beta-testing ecosystem, part product advisory group.

Members share insights, surface pain points, and test new missions before they launch broadly. This tight feedback loop means we're not guessing what families need — we're building alongside them.

For investors, SEAT Squad signals organic demand, real engagement, and a community that de-risks product decisions while strengthening retention and word-of-mouth growth.

    Christopher Linder

    Founder & CEO, Remix Academics

This problem chose me. I didn't set out to build an edtech company. I set out to be a good teacher. I spent years in the classroom watching brilliant Black and Brown kids get quietly written off — not because they couldn't learn, but because the system wasn't built for the way they learned.

Before teaching, I was a radio DJ. I understood how to make ideas land. After the classroom, I moved into Agile technical project management at Warner Media, running complex digital projects for the NBA, NCAA, and HBO Max. When my own family started homeschooling, all three of those worlds collided.

Remix Academics isn't a pivot or a passion project. It's the thing I was always building toward — equipping families with tools I know work, because I've built them, tested them, and lived them.

    The Round
